History
InterWest Insurance Services was founded in 1992 as a result of the merger of three large successful insurance brokerage firms located in Northern California. Our aggressive marketing and acquisition efforts have extended our influence into Central and Southern California and the San Francisco Bay Area. During the past 15 years, we have successfully unified into a single seamlessly integrated organization with 9 offices throughout the state. We've grown in size from $10 Million in annual revenue in 1992 to over $55 Million.
With close to a century of combined experience and premiums exceeding $520 Million annually, our unsurpassed visibility in the California marketplace positions us to offer purchasing power and long-term stability while remaining a constantly expanding resource. Due to our size and buying power, InterWest can negotiate more effectively with the insurers we represent while also offering specialized, efficient value-added services to our clients.

We offer unparalleled expertise in areas such as claims management, safety and loss control management and human resource & labor law consulting. Although we operate principally in California, we are licensed to write business in all 50 states and staffed to service customers with locations throughout the nation.

Our experience includes the development and management of several captive programs and self-insured groups, as well as a self-insured JPA.
