TOPIC – Setting Yourself up for Success and Early Settlement of Workers’ Compensation Claims

This presentation will discuss what an employer should do when there is a work-related injury. We will cover employer level investigation and preservation of evidence and will discuss additional steps which should be taken to minimize exposure, facilitate early settlements and avoid Labor Code 132a discrimination claims.

Steve P. Young is the Managing Partner at Young, Cohen & Durrett, LLP. Mr. Young is a Bay Area native raised in Alameda, CA. He received his B.A. Degree in Political Science from the University of San Diego in 1998. He subsequently obtained his J.D. Degree in 2001 and joined his current firm in 2002. Steve dedicates his practice to representation of employers and insurance carriers with regard to defense of workers’ compensation cases throughout Northern California. Young Cohen & Durrett also handles employment and labor law as well as commercial real estate matters.
