Now, we do not literally mean that you should prolong the hiring process – good candidates are too hard to find! A better description might be “Hire Carefully and Know When to Cut Your Losses,” but it doesn’t roll off the tongue quite as easily… The bottom line is, bad hires can have a devastating impact on an organization and once they are in, it can be terribly costly to get them out. The best course of action is not to hire bad employees in the first place.
