During the session, we’ll break down CA SB 553 and how it affects your business. You’ll learn all the ins and outs of what needs to be in your WVPP, from processes and procedures to systems. We’ll also show you how to create and maintain a violence incident log, a crucial part of the plan.

Plus, we’ll share tips for creating engaging employee training on the WVPP that everyone can understand. And don’t worry about keeping your WVPP compliant in the long run – we’ve got you covered with strategies to make sure it stays up to date. By the end of the workshop, you’ll feel confident and equipped to protect your workplace and employees from potential violence threats.

Jay hails from Weaverville, CA, where he honed his work ethic at his family’s restaurant and golf course. A former collegiate golfer at the University of California, Berkeley, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1999. Since November 2017, Jay has served as a Risk Management Consultant at InterWest, leveraging over 20 years of coaching, safety, and managerial expertise. As the Director of Business Performance and Analytics, he leads a team dedicated to crafting innovative safety solutions. Certified in Wilderness First Aid and CPR.
