Bill O’Keefe

Bill O’Keefe has focused his attention on working with large service organizations such as title companies, medical providers, real estate owners and property managers. Using the considerable resources within InterWest, Bill helps these businesses develop cost effective insurance and risk management programs.

In 1977 Bill joined one of InterWest’s predecessor organizations, Noack and Dean, where he developed medium to large accounts primarily consisting of property owners and managers, and medical and other service providers. He became a partner in 1982 and was elected president of the agency in 1986. In 1992, Noack and Dean merged with two other leading Northern California agencies to create InterWest Insurance Services, Inc. Bill became an Executive Vice President of InterWest as well as President of its Capitol Division until 2008.

Prior to joining Noack and Dean, Bill worked eight years for a national insurance firm in administration and later as a commercial insurance broker. Bill is a graduate of California State University at Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and earned the professional designation of CPCU, Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter, in 1977.

Bill is an active participant in community presently serving as a trustee for United Cerebral Palsy of Northern California. He has previously served as a board member and president of the Central YMCA of Sacramento, Vice President – Finance of Golden Empire Council, Boy Scouts of America, and board member of Challenge Youth Soccer.

A native of Baltimore, Bill and his wife, Mary, have four children and have resided in Sacramento since 1977.
