The InterWest team of Naomi Homan, Kathy Dorantes, Erin Brown & Carole Thomas attended, The  Empty Bowl Project fundraiser on February 1st in support of the D Street Shelter. The event, hosted by Merced County Community Action Agency,  is designed to simulate a soup kitchen experience. The Empty Bowl Project is an international grassroots effort to raise both money and awareness in the fight to end hunger.

Each bowl was handcrafted and  hand-painted by local Merced County artists. All were very beautiful, making the decision of which one to take home quite challenging for the quests in attendance.
